Play On! The Canadian Street Hockey Tournament

It’s a great season for hockey lovin’ and everyone was feeling the spirit this past weekend at Hockey Night in Canada’s event Play On! The Canadian Street Hockey Tournament. Adult and kid teams flexed their hockey muscles out on the street rinks and one special game was even given the celebrity treatment, inviting prominent lower mainland figures to show us what they’re made of. Family Staycation in Burnaby

To break from our winter blues, my family and I recently decided to treat ourselves to a weekend getaway by staycationing (yes, vacationing by staying in town) at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown. After all, it is an award-winning hotel in the heart of Burnaby. Plus, it’s proximity to Metrotown and the SkyTrain makes it an ideal spot for the whole family.
