by Tourism Burnaby Staff
The fall weather and fog have finally rolled into Burnaby and with it a round of Halloween events! In addition to annual favourites such as the Burnaby Village Museum and Halloween in the Heights, be sure to check out some community events as well as the Spooky BOO-Tique at Lougheed Town Centre!
Brentwood Town Centre: In addition to trick-or-treating, Brentwood is offering some Halloween fun on the weekend before the big day. Check out story time, Halloween crafts, a spooktacular dance show, and Halloween salsa (
October 26, 27, 31)
Lougheed Town Centre: Lougheed Town Centre has set up a Spooky BOO-tique in the mall until October 31st. We’ve already sent our blogger over to check it out…
Halloween on the Heights: From 3:30pm – 5:30pm, the Heights invites children to come down for trick-or-treating as well as spooky train rides in Confederation Park and fireworks. (October 31st)
Community Events: Be sure to check out the community centres for some smaller Halloween fun including a Bonsor’s Big Boo (Oct 26) special skate at Bill Copeland (Oct 27), Halloween Haunted Mansion Spook Fest at Eileen Daily (Oct 25) and a Halloween event at the Cameron Howler (Oct 27)
Haunted Hysteria at the BVM: For everything from roving actors to live performances, the Haunted Village at the BVM is one of Burnaby’s favourite Halloween treats. In addition to trick-or-treating for kids in costumes, everyone gets to ride the carousel for free! (Oct 26 – 28)
Here’s your chance to win two tickets to the Haunted Hysteria at the BVM! We have to ways to enter… You can either fill out the form below, or tweet the message below. (Or do both ways to double your chances!)
Thank you to everyone who entered. This contest is now closed.
* Please note that Metropolis at Metrotown is not doing their trick-or-treat in the mall this year.
