Heritage Christmas at Burnaby Village Museum

If you’re itching to get your Christmas spirit on early, look no further than Burnaby Village Museum’s Heritage Christmas, complete with carols, photos with Santa and perhaps even a run-in with the roaming ginger snap! I visited the museum this past Sunday afternoon for a little peek into the festivities, with hot chocolate and camera in hand, I was feeling jollier by the minute.

Footlight Theatre Presents the Wizard of Oz at Michael J. Fox Theatre

Footlight theatre’s presentation of The Wizard of Oz at the Michael J. Fox theatre defies any stereotypes one might have about “community theatre”. This production was every bit as professional, as entertaining and as seamless as any Broadway show put on by a big name company. If you haven’t got your tickets already, you shouldn’t wait much longer.

Something very magical is about to transform the city of Burnaby and rekindle a love for the arts and appreciation for classic storytelling, from November 4-19th Footlight Theatre presents the unforgettable “Wizard of Oz”. Off to see the Wizard – Part I

In a brief conversation with Footlight Theatre’s Wizard of Oz director Lalainia Lindbjerg Strelau she said that the only thing audiences should expect from this performance is a lot of surprises. One surprise we’re not shy to tell is that the lead role of Dorothy Gale will be played by a mega TV, Film and Theatre professional … who’s only 12 years old. Despite her youth, Michelle Creber is an accomplished performer with many credits to her name already, and she’s more than adept at mastering the challenging role of Dorothy.
