Scala Lounge, Grand Villa Casino - 1I’ve always wanted to go on a cruise somewhere, not so much for the destination but for all the things I’ve heard about what cruise vacations offer: food at a great value, a diverse assortment of travellers and fun-goers, and best of all, great in-house entertainment! Luckily, I didn’t have to go far to get a perfect glimpse of the cruise experience as The Scala Show Lounge’s Duelling Pianos show offered that exact carefree yet thoroughly entertaining atmosphere. Orbiting SFU’s Vancouver Orbital

Joan Balzar, 1Tucked away in a non-assuming room on the bustling and studious Simon Fraser University campus in Burnaby is the SFU Art Gallery.  With its beaming wooden floors, bright white walls and sheer quiet, the gallery is a departure from the rest of the busy campus.  At present, the gallery’s smooth walls are lined (in this case, literally) with abstraction featuring the quasi-scientific paintings of Vancouver-based artist Joan Balzar.
