Summer Blues Gets a Whole New Meaning

It was perfect weather down at Deer Lake Park last Saturday to commemorate the 11th edition of the Burnaby Blues and Roots Festival. Deer Lake Park is truly a beautiful and unique setting to host an outdoor concert. One day it’s a tranquil park lined with rolling hills of grass, alongside a massive lake full of birds and paddleboats. Then comes a festival like the Burnaby Blues and Roots, and the whole area is transformed into an impressive concert site, with a full-scale erected stage, lights and video screens. Add the 27 degree weather, and you’ve got the recipe for a perfect day at the festival.
